## Symptoms

- * The Exchange Agent bypasses emails from an internal domain with this reason:

"*Incoming message scanning from other domains is disabled*".
* The domain of the Exchange Server does not match the domain experiencing the issue.

## Cause

The Exchange Agent determines whether an email is internal by comparing the domain of the message ID with the domain of the Exchange Server running the Exchange Agent.

If the domains do not match, the Exchange Server categorizes the email as external.
