# sk183312 - Endpoint Auto-Connection Pop-Up Appears on the Client Despite "Enable Always-Connect" Set to "False"

## Symptoms

- * The setting in **Global properties \> Endpoint Connect \> Connect Mode** is:
  "Manual - VPN connections will not be initiated automatically", yet the Endpoint Client still attempts to auto-connect and displays auto-connection pop-up.

* Applying the hotfix from [sk111674](https://support.checkpoint.com/results/sk/sk111674) does not resolve the issue.

* Manually modifying the settings in the *Trac.ttm* and *trac.defaults* files by setting `"neo_always_connected : false"` does not resolve the issue.

## Cause

The pop-ups messages are caused when the client starts multiple instances of TrGUI.exe. The original instance detects the new instance and displays a notification.

This problem was fixed. The fix is included starting from:
