## Symptoms

- The `/var/log/messages` file and the output of the "`dmesg`" command contain this line:

`kernel:mlx5_core XXXX:XX:XX.X: mlx5_query_module_id:XXX:(pid XXXXX): query_mcia_reg failed: status: 0x3`

## Cause

A network interface uses the MLX5 driver, and a transceiver is not inserted into this interface.

The driver always attempts to query the transceiver module information, and without a transceiver plugged in it fails to do so.
