# sk183243 - SmartEvent license shows wrong expiration date that is one day earlier

## Symptoms

- * The status of the SmartEvent license in SmartConsole shows an expiration date of the SmartEvent blade that is one day earier.   
  For example, if the expiration date in the contract file is `Oct 31, 2027`, it shows the expiration date in the SmartConsole as `Oct 30, 2027`.

* The output of the "*cpstat os -f licensing*" command also shows that the expiration date is one day earlier.

## Cause

The issue is caused by the time zone settings of the SmartEvent server.

A Support Engineer will make sure the Hotfix is compatible with your environment before providing it.
