# sk183228 - CloudGuard Controller fails to push Data Center objects to ClusterXL

## Symptoms

- * CloudGuard Controller fails to push Data Center objects to ClusterXL

* The *cloud_proxy.elg* file on the Management Server (*$FWDIR/log* on Security Management and *$MDS_FWDIR/log/* on Multi-Domain Management Server) contains the error:  
  `
  Error: ERROR datacenter.util.CommandExec [gateway-updater_***]: command: [/opt/CPshrd-R81.20/bin/cprid_util, -server, ***, -timeout, 120, -stdout, /etc/fw/tmp/****_vsecUpdate.sh.stdout, -verbose, rexec, -rcmd, /bin/bash, /etc/fw/tmp/***_vsecUpdate.sh, ***, ] failed with code '255' and response { "http_code" : 000, "raw_response": }"`

* The output of the `"pdp monitor all"` command to show information for all connected sessions on the ClusteXL members is empty, or it was not updated since the issue began.

* The Cluster has non-standard configurations, such as an AWS Cross-AZ Cluster.

## Cause

The CloudGuard Controller attempts to push Data Center objects to the active Cluster member using the Cluster's Virtual IP (VIP). The *vsecUpdate* script reaches the active member, pushing the configuration to the Policy Enforcement Point (PEP) and Policy Decision Point (PDP) processes.  

However, some Cluster configurations, such as an AWS Cross-AZ Cluster, do not have a true VIP. In these cases:

* The VIP is merely an interface IP address assigned to one member.
* If a different member becomes active, the configuration push fails because PEP and PDP processes reject changes from the *vsecUpdate* script when it is running on a standby member.
