# sk183224 - BSOD or reboot when external removable disk is connected

## Symptoms

- * The device reboots when a removable disk is connected and a file is loaded onto it with the Port Protection Blade active. When the blade is deactivated, the device functions correctly.
* Error Messages: Blue screen of Windows (BSOD) when the issue occurs Stop_Code System_Service_Exception

## Cause

This is a known issue when the Endpoint Security client version is E88.40 or older running on Windows 11 24H2.
