# sk183166 - Multiple SNMP OIDs return incorrect data types

| Versions | R82, R81.20, R82, R81.20 |
| OS | Gaia |

## Symptoms

- * When querying some Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) Object Identifiers (OIDs), the responses do not match the expected data types as defined in the Management Information Base (MIB) specifications.

  **Notes**:
  * The issue occurs on multiple OIDs.
  * The issue is not limited to a specific Gateway.
  * The returned data type does not match the expected MIB definition. For example, an integer may be expected, but the response contains a string.
  * For more information about SNMP MIB files, see [sk90470](https://support.checkpoint.com/results/sk/sk90470).
* Below is an example of a "Wrong Type" in the response:

  `snmpwalk -m /opt/CPsuite-R81.20/fw1/lib/snmp/chkpnt.mib -v2c -c ` localhost identityAwarenessAuthUsers CHECKPOINT-MIB::identityAwarenessAuthUsers.0 = Wrong Type (should be INTEGER): Gauge32: 4521

## Cause

Some OIDs in the `chkpnt.mib` file are incorrectly defined. This mismatch causes incorrect data types in SNMP responses.

**Note** : The `chkpnt.mib` file contains definitions of all SNMP counters supported by Check Point software. These definitions are used to manage and monitor Check Point devices through SNMP.
