## Symptoms

- * Office Mode IP Assignment fails after Security Gateway upgrade or configuration restoration from backup.

* Some of the users that try to connect receive the error: `"You cannot receive an Office Mode IP address at this time"`.

* Office mode IP addresses are statically allocate using the *ipassignment.conf* procedure.

* The Output of the command: `# vpn ipafile_check ipassignment.conf detail`

 shows:

 ```
 There were ## users that could not be added because there was no capacity to store them.
 Users configured is #### out of 1024, consider increasing capacity through 'vpn ipafile_users_capacity'
 ```
* The client log file *C:\\Program Files (x86)\\CheckPoint\\Endpoint Security\\Endpoint Connect\\helpdesk.log* shows:

 ```
 IKE connection failed, error code=-1000. Reason: Office Mode IP Assignment failure - all IP address were allocated
 or the user is not authorize to receive an IP address from the gateway
 ```
* Changing IP addresses in *ipassignment.conf* for affected users resolves the issue temporarily, but restoring the previous IP continues to trigger the Office Mode error.

## Cause

The capacity of $*FWDIR/conf/ipassignment.conf* is exceeded. After an upgrade, the capacity resets to the default value of 1024 users.
