# sk183116 - Reestablishing SIC between Cluster Members

## Solution

A cluster of locally managed Quantum Spark appliances may encounter situations where SIC (Secure Internal Communication) is broken between the cluster gateways. When this happens, the cluster may become inactive or undefined.

The following scenarios may lead to broken SIC:

1. Disconnecting the cluster from Spark Management (SMP) and managing it only through the local WebUI.

2. Re-establishing the cluster certificate.

   In this case, the user will encounter failure on at least one cluster gateway when running the command `fw sic_test`.

To recover, SIC between cluster members must be manually reestablished. If the cluster fails to reestablish SIC, a notification will be triggered.

**To manually reestablish trust between the cluster members:**

1. On the primary member, run:

   `/pfrm2.0/bin/lua /pfrm2.0/bin/clusterResetSIC.lua`
2. Run the same command on the secondary member.
