## Symptoms

- * Maestro Security Group Members remain in the "`INIT`" state after you restart Check Point processes (`cpstop;cpstart`) or reboot them.

  The Critical Device "`FULLSYNC`" reports its status as "`problem`".
* Forcing the manual sync does not resolve the issue.

* The `$FWDIR/log/cxld.elg` log file on the affected Security Group Member contains these messages:

  ```
  sic_client_connection_failed: Failed to connect to peer (conn =(nil))
   fwsyncn_connect: fwclient_connect
  ```

* Management Data Plane Separation (MDPS, [sk138672](https://support.checkpoint.com/results/sk/sk138672)) is enabled on the Security Group.
