## Symptoms

- BitLocker has not started encryption. Even if the client is online and connected to the Management Server, the Endpoint Security client UI shows `Update needs to be uploaded - Deliver Recovery File`.

## Cause

This issue can occur if the **Connection Awareness** feature in the **Client Settings** policy is using the option **"Connected to a list of specified targets"** . If the client cannot connect to any of the specified targets in the policy, the **Check Point BitLocker Management** client considers the client to be disconnected and will not send the recovery file.
