# sk183036 - CPView "CPU - Overview" page shows multiple CPU cores as "OTHER" although CoreXL Dynamic Balancing is enabled

## Symptoms

- * CPView ([sk101878](https://support.checkpoint.com/results/sk/sk101878)) \> "`CPU`" tab \< "`Overview`" tab \> "`CPU:`" section \> the column "`Type`" shows "`OTHER`" for multiple CPU cores.

* The CPU cores, for which the column "`Type`" shows "`CoreXL_FW`" have high CPU load.

* The "`dynamic_balancing -p`" command shows that the CoreXL Dynamic Balancing is enabled.

* The `$FWDIR/log/dsd.elg` file shows that the CoreXL Dynamic Balancing keeps restarting.

* In the "`cpconfig`" menu, when trying to configure more than 40 CoreXL Firewall instances, it shows "`CoreXL is currently enabled with a maximum of 40 IPv4 firewall instances`".

* SecureXL runs in the UPPAK mode.

## Cause

Appliances with more than 40 CPU cores are running in USFW mode by default, as mentioned in [sk167052](https://support.checkpoint.com/results/sk/sk167052).  

The Firewall mode was changed manually to Kernel Mode, in which the maximum number of IPv4 CoreXL Firewall instances that can be configured is 40, as per [R81.20 Performance Tuning Administration Guide](https://sc1.checkpoint.com/documents/R82.10/WebAdminGuides/EN/CP_R82.10_PerformanceTuning_AdminGuide/Content/Topics-PTG/CoreXL-Default-Configuration.htm?tocpath=CoreXL%7C_____2).  

Please [Contact Check Point Support](https://www.checkpoint.com/support-services/contact-support/) before changing the FW mode from USFW to KSFW.

## Solution

Please revert the changes and change the Firewall mode from KSFW back to USFW.

**Important** - In ClusterXL, you must configure all cluster members in the same way.

1. On the command line, run:  
   `cpconfig`
2. Enter the number of the option:  
   `Check Point CoreXL`
3. Enter the number of the option:  
   `Change firewall mode`
4. In this prompt, enter the letter "`y`" and press Enter:  
   `Do you want to change to User mode [Requires reboot] (y/n) [n] ?`
5. Exit from the menu.
6. **Reboot.**
