## Symptoms

- * No logs presented in the Infinity Playblocks UI from the Log server.
* The Log Adjuster Service is down on the Log Server and fails to start.

## Cause

* The `$RTDIR/laas/adjuster-service/tmp/pid.txt` file is empty.
* The `adjuster_service` script checks whether the process is running by checking the existence of the `pid.txt` file, but it do not validate its content. As a result, the adjuster service incorrectly detects the process as running and do not restart the service.
