# sk182981 - After a cluster failover, the cluster drops some connections with "Reason: Cannot handle packet on a synched machine"

## Symptoms

- * After a cluster failover, some traffic does not pass through ClusterXL.

* Kernel debug (`fw ctl zdebug -m fw + drop`) on the cluster members shows that the Active cluster member drops the traffic:

  `fw_log_drop_ex: Packet proto=6 X.X.X.X:X -> X.X.X.X:X dropped by cpas_glue_pkt_h_in Reason: Cannot handle packet on a synched machine`
* Output of the "`fw_mux all`" command on cluster members shows the affected connections.

  The output shows "`Streaming mode: CPAS`" for the affected connections.

  Note - You can also run the command "`fw_streaming cpas`" and confirm the affected connections.
* The ClusterXL object has other Software Blades enabled in addition to **Firewall** and **ClusterXL**.

## Cause

Because Software Blades must inspect the traffic, some connections (applications in MUX) must go through the CPAS streaming engine.

Such CPAS connections are not synchronized between the cluster members.

As a result, after a cluster failover, the Active cluster member drops these connections.
