# sk182924 - When the RADIUS server priority 1 is down, there are no connection attempts made to other configured RADIUS servers with lower priorities

## Symptoms

- Multiple RADIUS servers are configured with different priorities. If the RADIUS server with priority 1 is down, the gateway does not attempt to connect to the RADIUS server with priority 2

## Cause

The issue is caused by the misconfiguration of the RADIUS parameters in SmartConsole (**Global Properties \> Advanced \> Firewall-1 \> Authentication \> RADIUS**)
