## Symptoms

- * When fetching topology on a Quantum Spark (SMB) cluster within the Smart-1 Cloud environment, you see this error in SmartConsole:

  "*Failed to save object cluster_object_name.*
*Server error is : An internal error has occurred. (Code:0x8003001D, Could not access file for write operation)*

  *Please contact technical support*

* When you close the window after seeing the error message above, this new error message appears:

"*The current changes to object parameters are invalid and therefore will be discarded*"

## Solution

Solution:

* Open the SMB cluster object.

* Go to **Edit Topology** and confirm that the subnet for the MaaS interface is set to `32` or `255.255.255.255`.

  Example MaaS interface subnet: `255.255.255.255`

* Change the `maas_tunnel` interface subnet to either `255.255.255.0` or `255.255.0.0`.

* Verify that both the cluster members reside on the same network. The network must follow the `100.100.X.X` pattern.

  Example for subnet `255.255.0.0`:

  Cluster member 1 - `100.100.15.14`

  Cluster member 2 - `100.100.16.25`
