# sk182898 - Cannot upload files to Check Point via ASPERA in the Ticketing system

## Symptoms

- Unable to upload files via ASPERA in the Check Point Ticketing system.

## Solution

If you have difficulties uploading to the Check Point Ticketing system, you can request SFTP credentials to be generated.  

### Using Check Point SFTP with credentials

1. Enter the SFTP site information provided with the credentials  
   **Host name = sftp-xx-prd.checkpoint.com**   
   **Port number = 22**
2. Enter Account Name to the **User name** field
3. Enter Password in the **Password** field
4. Click **Login**

### Using Check Point SFTP with RSA key pair

1. Key pair is created by the end user.
2. Private key stays with the user (and only there), while the public key is sent to the server.
3. Server stores the public key.
4. Server will now allow access to anyone who can prove they have the corresponding private key.

   **WinSCP example:**   

   1. Enter SFTP site information:  
   **Host name = sftp-eu-prd.checkpoint.com**   
   **Port number = 22**   

   2. Click **Advanced...**

   3. Select **SSH** \> **Authentication**

   4. Select the three dots on the right side if the Private Key File text box, and select your PRIVATE key file.   

   5. Send your PUBLIC key to your support ticket to complete the setup.  

   TAC engineer will respond with steps for using with SSH. Authentication with the private key will then be allowed.

   **Filezilla example:**
   1. Open Filezilla and select **Edit \> Settings...**   

   2. Under **Connection** , select the **SFTP**

   3. Click **Add key file...**   
   A new window will open for you to browse to your PRIVATE key file and upload.   
   4. Send your PUBLIC key to your support ticket to complete the setup.  

   TAC engineer will respond with steps for using with SSH. Authentication with the private key will then be allowed.

### Resolving WinSCP "Temporary files rename problem" message

To overcome this problem, in WinSCP settings:

1. Go to **Option** \> **Preferences** \> **Transfer** \> **Endurance**
2. Disable the top option **"Enable transfer resume/transfer for temporary filename for"**
