## Symptoms

- * "Error: Network Connectivity error. Verify that the internet connection is active and that Proxy/DNS settings are correct" appears in SmartConsole Device \& License Information for the firewall that should send files to the Threat Emulation appliance.

* Files do not undergo emulation on a remote Threat Emulation appliance. Emulation functions correctly on the local device or in the cloud.
* The emulation queue continuously increases, and the status displays "Cloud Connectivity Problem, waiting to resend."

## Cause

The emulation queue grows, and files do not transfer to the emulation device when the certificate of the Threat Emulation device changes.

The queue appears as shown in the example below:

In SmartConsole, the error message "`Error: Network Connectivity error. Verify that internet connection is up and that Proxy/DNS settings are correct.`" may be misleading because no Cloud emulation is used but only remote (local emulation), and emulation in the Check Point cloud works correctly.

Collecting a `tcpdump` between the Check Point Quantum Security Gateway and the Check Point Quantum Threat Emulation appliance on port 18194 shows a certificate issue during the connection attempt with the error "`Fatal, Unknown CA`":
