# sk182875 - SmartConsole stops responding when adding the HCP extension

## Symptoms

- * Attempting to add the HCP SmartConsole extension as outlined in [sk171436- HealthCheck Point (HCP) Release Updates](https://support.checkpoint.com/results/sk/sk171436) causes SmartConsole to stop responding.

* This occurs after entering this URL:  

  https://:/ngm-management-app/hcp/extension.json,   
  and selecting **Continue**.

* SmartConsole and HCP are operating on R81.20 with the latest Jumbo Hotfix installed.

## Solution

This issue is resolved in R82.  

For R81.20, [Contact Check Point Support](https://www.checkpoint.com/support-services/contact-support/) to get a Hotfix for this issue.

A Support Engineer will make sure the Hotfix is compatible with your environment before providing it.  
For faster resolution and verification, collect these files:

1. [CPinfo](https://support.checkpoint.com/results/sk/sk92739) file from the Management Server involved in the case.
2. [CPinfo](https://support.checkpoint.com/results/sk/sk92739) file from the Security Gateway / each Cluster Member involved in the case.
