## Cause

NVIDIA ConnectX Firmware contains a vulnerability where an attacker may cause an improper handling of insufficient privileges issue.

## Solution

Check Point, together with our partner NVIDIA, has carefully analyzed the vulnerabilities in CVE-2024-0105 and CVE-2024-0106, assessing potential vulnerability and impact.

**At this time, our determination is that the NIC hardware, which implements the affected firmware versions are not exploitable remotely.**

As a measure of prudence, Check Point is qualifying updated NVIDIA firmware versions, which mitigate the vulnerabilities.

The updated NVIDIA firmware versions will be released in these ways (see [sk141812](https://support.checkpoint.com/results/sk/sk141812) for further details and updates):

* Integrated in upcoming Jumbo Hotfix Accumulators, which support NVIDIA firmware auto-update.
* As standalone hotfix packages.

Customers deploying our CloudGuard solution should contact their cloud service provider directly for information on this vulnerability or mitigations for their host hardware.
