# sk182837 - Azure Security Gateway interface eth0 is missing after reboot

| Property | Value |
|----------|-------|
| Solution ID | sk182837 |
| Date Created | 2024-11-14 |
| Last Modified | 2026-05-11 |
| Technical Level | Advanced |
| Products | Cloud Firewall |
| Versions | R82.10, R81.10 (EOS), R81.20, R82 |
| OS | Gaia |
| Platform | Azure |

## Symptoms

- * After the Security Gateway reboots, the `eth0` interface does not appear in the `ifconfig` output.
* The `cloud_platform_ex` command shows "`hyperv`" instead of "`azure`".

## Cause

The system detects multiple files with the prefix "`/etc/in-`". This file conflict prevents the correct Azure configuration file ("`/etc/in-azure`") from loading during the boot process. As a result, the Security Gateway cannot apply the correct Azure platform settings for running Gaia.
