# sk182797 - The HTTPD2 daemon fails to start

## Symptoms

- * The output of the command `"netstat -nlp | grep httpd"` shows that the HTTPD2 daemon is not running.

* A Manual restart of the HTTPD2 daemon shows the error:

  `AH00558: httpd2: Could not reliably determine the server's fully qualified domain name, using `. Set the 'ServerName' directive globally to suppress this message   
  (2)No such file or directory: AH02291: Cannot access directory '/local_ckp/src/cpapache/R81_20_jumbo_hf_main/release.dynamic/CMpub/logs/' for main error log   
  AH00014: Configuration check failed
* Changing the SSL port to 4434 or re-enabling the web daemon in the Gaia configuration does not resolve the issue.

* The /var/log/messages file repeatedly shows these logs:  

  `pm[18556]: Restarted /web/cpshared/web/Apache/2.2.0/bin/httpd2[9889], count=6 `  
  `
  pm[18556]: Reaped: httpd2[9889] `  
  `
  pm[18556]: Scheduled httpd2 for +64 secs `

* The issue does not match the scenarios described in [sk91380](https://support.checkpoint.com/results/sk/sk91380).

* The */web/templates/httpd-ssl.conf.templ* file is not empty as described in [sk180829](https://support.checkpoint.com/results/sk/sk180829).

* The certificate matches the private key as per [sk165776](https://support.checkpoint.com/results/sk/sk165776).

* The command `"cat /web/templates/httpd2.conf.templ"` produces no output.

## Cause

The */web/templates/httpd2.conf.templ* file is empty.
