## Symptoms

- During the boot process, the following error may show:
> `Single-bit ECC errors were detected on the RAID controller. Please contact technical support to resolve this issue. Press 'X' to continue or power off the system, replace the controller, and reboot.`

## Cause

This message indicates that the RAID controller detected single-bit errors in the data. ECC (Error-Correcting Code) detects and corrects these errors to maintain data integrity.

A single-bit ECC error means one bit of data was altered but corrected by the ECC system. While these errors do not typically indicate hardware failure, they should prompt regular system monitoring.

The boot process may halt, requiring manual intervention by pressing 'X' due to the error message:
`Single-bit ECC errors were detected on the RAID controller`.
