## Symptoms

- * Users are unable to access resources due to access role-based policies.
* The PDP daemon is either not running or not responding to PDP command.
* In the environment, there exists an LDAP Authentication Unit (AU) with no processors for authentication.
* The *fetch_by_SID* feature is enabled.
* Debug lines before the crash, *empty domain SID. We tried all AU but could not locate domain SID*.

## Cause

The issue occurred because an Account Unit lacked authentication processors. When the PDPD process tried to authenticate a user with *fetch_by_SID* enabled, it triggered a problematic flow, leading to a PDPD crash on every authentication attempt.
