## Symptoms

- * The URL in the SmartTask **HTTPS Post** field is cut at 255 characters.
* POST requests to the URL specified in the SmartTask **HTTPS Post** field fail.

## Cause

The maximum URL length in the **HTTPS Post** field of the SmartTask "Send Web Request" action is limited to 255 characters. Any URLs longer than this value are automatically shortened by the SmartConsole.
