## Symptoms

- Tray icon is missing from the task bar after an upgrade to a version between E88.20 and E88.4x, although all Check Point processes are running.

## Cause

Some security software installed on the machine, such as Entrust, is injecting DLLs into the UI process, interfering with its security measures. As a result, the process is not trusted, and the client UI is prevented from starting due to security reasons.

## Solution

This problem was fixed. The fix is included starting from:

* [**Enterprise Endpoint Security E88.50**.](https://support.checkpoint.com/results/sk/sk182372)
The security measures were moved out of the client UI process and into a separate process to prevent interference with the client UI startup.
