# sk182629 - In Scalable Platforms, in a Dual Site configuration, ping fails from a Standby site to a host on the Management network

## Symptoms

- * In Scalable Platforms, in a Dual Site configuration, ping fails from a Standby site to a host on the network connected to the Management interface of the Security Group.

* The "Same VMAC" feature is enabled as described in [sk165674](https://support.checkpoint.com/results/sk/sk165674).

## Cause

The "Same VMAC" feature does not apply to the ICMP traffic from the Standby Site.

## Solution

This problem was fixed. The fix is included in:

* [Check Point Quantum R82](https://support.checkpoint.com/results/sk/sk181127)

If you choose not to upgrade, Check Point can supply a **Hotfix** . [Contact Check Point Support](https://www.checkpoint.com/support-services/.contact-support/) to get a Hotfix for this issue.  
A Support Engineer will make sure the Hotfix is compatible with your environment before providing the Hotfix.
