# sk182619 - Unable to set the policy as 'Default Geo Policy' in Geo Policy settings of gateway as the option is not available in Settings

## Symptoms

- * In R81.20, "Default Geo Policy" assignment is removed under Inspection Settings Profile of gateway.

## Cause

It is a known issue and the settings was removed.

## Solution

This problem was fixed. The fix is included in:

* **[SmartConsole for R81.20](https://sc1.checkpoint.com/documents/Jumbo_HFA/R81.20_SC/R81.20/Introduction.htm) starting from Build 660**

[Contact Check Point Support](https://www.checkpoint.com/support-services/contact-support/) to get a **Hotfix** for this issue - improved SmartConsole.

**Hotfix installation instructions:**

1. Uninstall the current SmartConsole.
2. Install the improved SmartConsole.
3. Close smartConsole and open SmartConsole.exe.config. File can be found under:  
   Windows 32-bit - C:\\Program Files\\CheckPoint\\SmartConsole\\\<R8x version\>\\PROGRAM\\  
   Windows 64-bit - C:\\Program Files (x86)\\CheckPoint\\SmartConsole\\\<R8x version\>\\PROGRAM\\  
   Run the file as administrator and open it  
   Replace the value of "ForceShowGeoPolicySettingForAllGWs" kill switch to True and save the file \& close it
