# sk182592 - On a Japanese Windows operating system, Endpoint Security Client shows "NOT INSTALLED" for "Full Disk Encryption" and "Media Encryption and Port Protection"

## Symptoms

- * On a Japanese Windows operating system, Endpoint Security Client shows "NOT INSTALLED" (in Japanese: ???????) for the "Full Disk Encryption" blade and the "Media Encryption and Port Protection" blade, although these blades are enabled in the endpoint client policy.

  Example:

* On a Japanese Windows OS, the issue occurs only in the new Endpoint Security Client UI. It does not occur in the legacy UI.

* On an English Windows OS, the issue does not occur in the new Endpoint Security Client UI.

## Cause

The issue is due to a registry value issue in Japanese Windows operating systems.

## Solution

[Contact Check Point Support](https://www.checkpoint.com/support-services/contact-support/) to get a Hotfix for this issue - improved Endpoint Security Client package.

A Support Engineer will make sure the Endpoint Security Client is compatible with your environment before providing it.  
For faster resolution and verification, collect the [CPinfo](https://support.checkpoint.com/results/sk/sk90445) file from the Endpoint Security Client involved in the case.
