## Symptoms

- * PEPD process might stop working and generates core dump files in the */var/log/dump/usermode/* directory.

* CPU spike is detected when the core dump file is generated. Here is an example log snippet of perf_cpu.log in the */var/log/spike_detective/data_spike_cpu_\<core number\>\<Date\>\<Time\>/* directory, for example:

  > `# Overhead Command Shared Object Symbol`
  > `
  > 6.03% pepd libc-2.17.so [.] __strncpy_sse2`
  > `
  > 1.28% pdpd_wk_0_wk_1 libc-2.17.so [.] tolower`
  > `
  > 1.22% pdpd_wk_0_wk_1 libc-2.17.so [.] vfprintf`
* Some Active Directory users do not match the Access Role policy.
