## Symptoms

- * Scanner errors appear in the `cloud_proxy.elg` file after deleting the Data Center object in SmartConsole:

  `
DATE TIME ERROR util.certificate.SSLSocketConnection [scanner-ID]: Socket IOException Exception for host (IP address of the Data Center object):443`

  `

DATE TIME ERROR util.certificate.CertificatesHelper [scanner-ID]: Error while getting certificate from (IP address of the Data Center object), attempt 5/5`

  `

DATE TIME ERROR util.certificate.CertificatesHelper [scanner-ID]: Reached 5 attempts, failed getting the certificate. `
  `
exiting the program with exception: java.net.ConnectException: Connection timed out (Connection timed out)`

  `

DATE TIME ERROR scanner.util.DcScannerUtils [scanner-ID]: Exception while connecting to [Data Center Name]. Return connectivity problem. java.net.ConnectException: Connection timed out (Connection timed out)
  ...
  `
* The deleted Data Center object is still present in the `vsec_controller_targets_data.set` file.

## Cause

Though the Data Center object is deleted in SmartConsole, the Access Control Policy on affected Security Gateways is not updated to reflect this deletion.

As a result, the Security Gateways try to query the deleted Data Center object, which leads to connectivity errors.
