# sk182547 - "ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE" error  when accessing the Gaia portal using the default port 443

## Symptoms

- * The Gaia Portal is inaccessible, and the blank page displays with the `ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE` error.

* Checking the SSL certificate in the web browser shows that the IPsec VPN Certificate is in use.
* The IPsec VPN blade is enabled for Site-to-Site VPN only, no VPN clients are enabled.
* The Gaia Portal works fine when the port number is changed to other than 443 (for example, to 4434).

## Cause

The **Support Visitor Mode**option is enabled.

## Solution

Disable the **Support Visitor Mode** option in the Gateway Properties to resolve the issue.

**Note:**Do not disable this option if you have remote access VPN clients enabled on this Security Gateway.

#### **Instructions:**

1. Edit the Check Point Gateway / Cluster Object Properties in the SmartConsole.

2. Go to **VPN Clients**.

3. In the **Remote Access** section, clear the **Support Visitor Mode** option.

4. Click **OK** in the Gateway Properties to save the changes.

5. Install the **Access Control Policy** in the Security gateway / Cluster object.
