# sk182522 - Incorrect error message on the "Licenses" tab for the VS object in SmartConsole: "Connection failed. Make sure that the machine is up and running and that SIC has been established"

## Symptoms

- The incorrect error message: "Connection failed. Make sure that the machine is up and running and that SIC has been established" appears after clicking the "Licenses" tab for the VS object in SmartConsole.

## Cause

This error message is incorrect. The correct error message is: "This object's licenses are managed by its main object".

## Solution

A Support Engineer will make sure the Hotfix is compatible with your environment before providing it.
