# sk182463 -  On Quantum Maestro/Chassis or in ClusterXL, the Security Gateway may crash while processing a VPN/correction flow

## Symptoms

- * On Quantum Maestro/Chassis or in ClusterXL, the Security Gateway may crash with a vmcore in */var/log/crash* or fwk core in */var/log/dump/usermode/*.
* The "*kernel: xxxxx: tx_timeout* " error is printed in */var/log/messages*.
* PSL drops packets with "*PSL Drop: psl_build_pslip failed*" message, potentially impacting network performance and streaming capabilities.
* Affected versions:  
  R81.20 Jumbo Hotfix Accumulator starting from Take 14   
  R81.10 Jumbo Hotfix Accumulator starting from Take 110   
  R81 Jumbo Hotfix Accumulator starting from Take 87

## Cause

Memory corruption occurs during packet correction. It may lead to a Security Gateway crash/freeze or drop of a valid packet.

This problem was fixed. The fix is included in:
