# sk182330 - Security Gateway blocks a non-standard port HTTP request with error "Application Control  -  HTTP parsing error occurred (2)"

## Symptoms

- * Security Gateway blocks a non-standard port HTTP request with error log:   
  `
  Reason: Application Control - HTTP parsing error occurred (2)`  
  `
  Action Reason: Blocking request as configured in engine settings of Application Control.`

* Error log in Kernel debug:  

  `[DATE TIME][cpu];[fw]:{policy} [SID: xxxxxxx] ws_signature_pe_general_parser_event_cb: precise error for session <hex_number> is: parameters are undecodable in request; `

* Setting the Kernel parameter `"fw ctl set int ws_ignore_http_resp_wo_req_error"` to 1, does not solve the issue.

## Cause

Application Control could not decode the request and the Fail-Close global setting blocks it.
