# sk182186 - File downloads through a Threat Emulation enabled Firewall are very slow regardless of file type and size

## Symptoms

- * File downloads through the GW are very slow regardless of file type and size. mostly happen with PDF file extension
* Threat emulation queue accumulates with .cab files in the ted.elg we see many requests from windows update "connection" : { "dst_ip" : "62.0.96.194", "dst_port" : "80", "protocol" : "6", "src_ip" : "172.25.7.15", "src_port" : "62992" }, "connection_id" : 2, "httpData" : { "url" : "http://ctldl.windowsupdate.com/msdownload/update/v3/static/trustedr/en/disallowedcertstl.cab?c5c357aeb37405de" }, "images" : null, "metaData" : { "conn_id" : "9979", "file_len" : "4770", "file_orig_name" : "disallowedcertstl.cab", "file_path" : "/opt/CPsuite-R81.20/fw1/tmp/te/dlpu_tmp_files_40-41/{A541B299-AA9A-9747-BFF8-B3AB0EFABDD3}", "file_type" : "cab",

## Cause

A specific file in the ted.elg file which is sent through the TE process a very high number of times. this file is coming from a Microsoft site and might be related to Windows updates. it is \*.cab file extension.  
Could also happen with other file types on a high volume
