## Symptoms

- The VSX Gateway is in a boot loop with these repeated messages:

```
read_from_vmcore: Can't read the dump memory(/var/log/crash/XXXX-XX-XX-XX:XX/vmcore). No such file or directory
readpage_elf: Can't read the dump memory(/var/log/crash/XXXX-XX-XX-XX:XX/vmcore).
readmem: type_addr: 0, addr:XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX, size:32
section_mem_map_addr: Can't get a struct mem_section(XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX).
```

## Cause

The kernel attempted to write data into a corrupted vmcore/directory. No vmcore file was created, triggering a boot loop on the appliance.
