# sk182054 - DHCP reply traffic is dropped with a "dhcp_reply_code" message after changes to DHCP policy

## Symptoms

- After you change the DHCP policy, the "`fw ctl zdebug drop`" command shows dropped DHCP reply traffic. The drop message is:

`fw_post_vm_chain_handler Reason: "Handler 'dhcp_request_code' drop`


`Or fw_post_vm_chain_handler Reason: "Handler 'dhcp_reply_code' drop`

## Cause

After you replaced "any" or legacy DHCP services with the newer services of "dhcp-request" and "dhcp-reply", some DHCP Relay sessions established using the legacy services remained in the connections table.
