# sk181987 - CloudGuard Controller server fails to connect to Cloud Vendors when using a 3rd-party proxy server

## Symptoms

- * When in a "**Generic Data Center** " object clicking the button "**Test Connection**", this popup appears:

  `Status: The connection has failed`

  `Description: Please make sure the server is running and accessible`
* This issue occurs when the CloudGuard Controller server connects to a Cloud Vendor through a 3rd-party proxy server (not a Check Point Security Gateway configured as an HTTP/HTTPS Proxy).

* This issue does not occur when the CloudGuard Controller server connects to a Cloud Vendor through a Check Point Security Gateway configured as an HTTP/HTTPS Proxy.

## Cause

The CloudGuard Controller server fails to understand the HTTP version that the 3rd-party proxy server is using.

This problem was fixed. The fix is included starting from:
