# sk181866 - FTP backup stuck at 99% on standby cluster member

## Symptoms

- * FTP backup stuck at 99% on standby cluster member after upgrade to R80.40 or higher.
* The CONFD process becomes defunct.

## Cause

Starting from R80.40, the value of the "`fwha_cluster_hide_active_only`" kernel parameter is 1 by default. In pre-R80.40 versions, the value of the parameter is 0 by default.  

The FTP connection is not closed after the transfer is completed because it still needs to receive the last packet confirming the transfer was completed. As a result, the CONFD process goes defunct because the connection is stuck. After all, the packet reaches the active member instead of standby, so the backup operation does not complete as expected and does not delete the backup lock, which requires manual deletion.
