# sk181829 - No logging for implied rules although tracking is enabled in Global properties

| Property | Value |
|----------|-------|
| Solution ID | sk181829 |
| Date Created | 2024-01-08 |
| Last Modified | 2024-01-08 |
| Technical Level | Advanced |
| Products | Multi-Domain Security Management Server |
| Versions | R81 (EOS), R81.10 (EOS), R81.20 |
| OS | Gaia |

## Symptoms

- * The "Log implied rules" checkbox in Global properties settings for the Domain is selected, but no logs for implied rules can be seen in the Logs and monitoring tab.

* The "`fw ctl zdebug + filter log`" debug and filtering for the relevant traffic shows that Security Gateway makes no attempt to log implied rules.

## Cause

In Multi-Domain Security Management, when installing policy on the Security Gateway, there are two objects for "`firewall_properties`". One of them has "`log_implied_rules`" set to *false* .
The second object comes from the Global Domain.
