## Symptoms

- * CloudGuard Controller fails to update identities on the Security Gateway.

* CloudGuard Controller requests to run *vsecUpdate.sh* missing a shared secret parameter. In the file *$MDS_FWDIR/log/cloud_proxy.elg*
  you see a similar log:

  `ERROR datacenter.util.CommandExec [gateway-updater_****]: `
  `
Failed to execute '[/opt/CPshrd-R81.10/bin/cprid_util, -server, ****, -timeout, 120, -stdout, `
  `
  /etc/fw/tmp/****_vsecUpdate.sh.stdout, -verbose, rexec, -rcmd, /bin/bash, `
  `
  /etc/fw/tmp/****_vsecUpdate.sh, ****, ]' failed with code '255'`

In a working scenario, there is a shared secret right after `/etc/fw/tmp/****_vsecUpdate.sh, ****,`
* Manually running the command `"/etc/fw/tmp/****_vsecUpdate.sh **** <shared_secret>"` on the Security Gateway adds the identities properly.
