# sk181487 - Link may not come up automatically in the 2-Port 40G/100G NIC, 4-Port 10G/25G NIC, and 10G/25G Sync Port

## Symptoms

- When using certain transceivers and DACs with the 2-Port 40G/100G NIC (SKU: CPAC-2-40/100F-D), the 4-Port 10G/25G NIC, or the 10G/25G Sync port, the link may not always come up automatically with the peer device or the desired FEC may not be established.

Manual configuration of the FEC mode and speed may be required.
