# sk181402 - Cannot create a VS on the VSX-Cluster

## Symptoms

- After the deletion of a Virtual System (VS) on a Virtual System Extension (VSX) gateway, attempting to create a new VS using the VSX Provisioning Tool will result in the following error: `Virtual System cannot be created: Failed to create Virtual System directories`

## Cause

An OS-related problem is causing GAIA to retain the sockets/processes of deleted VSs, preventing their release. As these slots are occupied, they are unavailable for use with new VSs. This is also the reason why performing a reboot provides a temporary solution to the problem.
