# sk181387 - Interface of i40e driver is down after reboot

## Symptoms

- * Interface of i40e driver with Multi-Queue enabled is down after reboot.
* shutdown via the LOM solves the issue
* In $FWDIR/log/mq_mng.elg file we see the following log:   
  \[ERROR\] mq_driver.py:290:_wait_for_rx_queues(): Timeout of 10 seconds has been reached while waiting for interface ethX rx queues. ethX 0 1 -\> /proc/irq/XXXX/smp_affinity  
* Interface state is on but running ethtool ethX shows link detected:no

## Cause

There is a function that is running during the Multi-Queue configuration after a reboot that is not supposed to run on i40e drivers which leads to timeout error when trying to complete the configuration.
