# sk181312 - Gaia API access for RADIUS users

## Symptoms

- * RADIUS users are not able to interact with the Gaia API.  

* Attempting to log into the API with a RADIUS user results in an error:

  `}`

## Cause

Starting from Gaia API version 1.7, RADIUS-authenticated Gaia administrators can authenticate to the API and run API calls. This feature is not enabled by default.
