## Symptoms

- * The Anti-Ransomware blade of the Endpoint Security Client for Windows blocks commands that the *Wmiprvse* Windows process sends to BitLocker.
* The Anti-Ransomware blade is configured to allow BitLocker encryption (see [sk179594](https://support.checkpoint.com/results/sk/sk179594)).

## Cause

Starting from E86.50, by default the Endpoint Security Client blocks BitLocker and other encryption programs that were not blocked by default in earlier versions.
