## Symptoms

- * Pull registry fails during a configuration pull on a Scalable Platform environment.

  **Note**: You recently updated the licenses, or this is a new implementation.
* There is a pull_config pnote on some Security Group Members.

* The `$FWDIR/log/blade_config` file contains a "`Pull registry failed`" log.

## Cause

The "registry pull" can fail because of these three files:

* `/var/log/merge_license_file.log`
* `$CPDIR/conf/cp.license`
* `$CPDIR/conf/cp.license.smo`

These three files are responsible for the license's integrity across the Scalable Platform environment.

## Solution

This problem was fixed. The fix is included in:

* [Jumbo Hotfix Accumulator for R82](https://sc1.checkpoint.com/documents/Jumbo_HFA/R82/Default.htm) starting from Take 14
* [Jumbo Hotfix Accumulator for R81.20](https://sc1.checkpoint.com/documents/Jumbo_HFA/R81.20/Default.htm) starting from Take 96
* [Jumbo Hotfix Accumulator for R81.10](https://sc1.checkpoint.com/documents/Jumbo_HFA/R81.10/Default.htm) starting from Take 173

If you choose not to upgrade, follow these instructions:

1. Make sure you installed the licenses correctly. See [sk163323: Solutions for license issues on Maestro Security Appliances](https://support.checkpoint.com/results/sk/sk163323).

2. Examine these files and make sure they align with the applicable license:

*
  * `/var/log/merge_license_file.log`
  * `$CPDIR/conf/cp.license`
  * `$CPDIR/conf/cp.license.smo`

**Note** - It is possible that the licenses are correct, but that there is a mismatch in the number of lines each Security Group Member has on its license.
