# sk181241 - CPU Core shows as "OTHER" instead of CoreXL_SND or CoreXL_FW

## Symptoms

- * CPU core shows as 'OTHER' in the output of `cpview` on a Virtual Machine, instead of CoreXL_SND or CoreXL_FW. For example:

* SIM Affinity is assigned only to the remaining CoreXL_SND.

## Solution

Change the interface affinity for the CPU that shows as OTHER, and assign it as SND:

`fw ctl affinity -s -i <Interface Name> <CPU ID0> [ <CPU ID1> ... <CPU IDn> ]`

Note: Because this is a VMware, the dynamic split feature is not supported.
