# sk181184 - On Demand Compliance (ESOD) Scanner does not detect Avast 4.3.0 on Linux

## Symptoms

- On Demand Compliance (ESOD) Scanner does not detect Avast 4.3.0 on Linux.

## Cause

Internal changes in Avast 4.3.1 for Linux, so that the scanner could not detect the Anti-Virus.

## Solution

ESOD updates are distributed as auto-update packages as described in [sk168353 - Mobile Access Portal Clients Release Updates](https://support.checkpoint.com/results/sk/sk168353), section "Compliance Scanner". However, there can be intermediate fixes that have not been included into an autoupdatable package yet.

[Contact Check Point Support](https://www.checkpoint.com/support-services/contact-support/) to get a Hotfix for this issue.

A Support Engineer will make sure the Hotfix is compatible with your environment before providing it.  
For faster resolution and verification, collect scanner logs on the client PC:

* configure the environment variable ICSLOG=2;
* connect to the gateway to run the scan;
* the scanner writes its log into *\~/.ics/ics.log* file.
